This original Ansonia figural clock is the "Music and Poetry" model and is a white metal and black iron with silver plated ornamentation in outstanding condition. The red vulcanized rubber dial with gold gilt trim is in spectacular condition and was revolutionary in its day. The gold gilt bezel and gold gilt rococo dial sash have been cleaned and are in excellent condition. The original beveled glass is also in excellent condition. It retains its original intricate gilt brass hands. The white metal and silver plate have been restored according to original standards. The urn above the dial and the back door were replaced at some point. The visible escapement movement has been cleaned and overhauled and is in professional running order. This original French clock is the angular carriage design and is one of the earlier cases. It is old brass with four miniature finials and bun feet in magnificent condition. The silver dial with arabic numbers is in outstanding condition. The four beveled glazed panels are in splendid condition. The movement retains its original platform and blued-steel hands. The unsigned movement has been cleaned, overhauled and tested and is in professional running order. It is an 8-Day timepiece. Circa: 1840. This original and stunning Lenzkirch bracket clock is a magnificently-grained walnut with burl walnut veneers and applied handcarved mouldings in exceptional condition. The gold gilt spandrels on the dial and gold gilt finial are in excellent condition. The silver chapter ring is in fair to good condition. It retains its original beveled glass in the front door and metal filigree and cloth in the back door. It is an 8-Day wind and has a petite sonnerie gong strike. Circa: 1905. This early Waterbury clock is the "Round Gothic" model and is the original rosewood veneer with an ultra-magnificent grain in absolutely splendid condition. There are two small areas that have been regrained and are virtually unnoticeable. The restored pure white paper dial is in outstanding condition. The original brass pendulum has been polished and is in excellent condition. The restored decalomania transfer of the Maryland State House at Annapolis on the original bottom glass is in excellent condition. The inside label is dark and torn, but legible. The movement has been fully serviced and is in fine running order. It is an 8-Day wind and strikes the hours only on a hearty gong. Circa: 1867. There is a warmth about this old clock that has to be seen to be believed.  
This enormous French mariner clock is a Japy Freres and is a cast iron statue with a bronze patina on a mahogany base in awesome condition. The workmanship on the details of the statue is magnificent and the work of a truly talented sculptor. The rippled brass bezel has been polished and is in fine condition. The bronze rococo dial sash is in splendid condition. The pure white porcelain dial is in outstanding condition with just a hairline crack at the left winding arbor. The visible escapement movement has been overhauled and is in fine running order. It is a 14-Day wind and strikes the hours and half-hour on a slow, soft gong. Circa: 1885. This early clock is an Asa Munger and known as an ironing board clock because of the design of the top. It is a dark mahogany veneer with richly carved half-columns, applied carvings and is in outstanding condition. The original dial has just slight wear and the numerals are excellent. The old mirror also has just slight wear and has a very attractive appearance. The original hands are black iron and in fine condition. The black and gold-leaf stenciled reverse painting on the dial is in spectacular condition with the iridescent hue in the glass that Asa was noted for. The case is lined with the original yellow/gold floral wallpaper. Wallpaper was used in Munger cases to absorb any dust. The brass Munger movement has been cleaned, overhauled, tested and is in professional running order. It is an 8-Day wind and strikes the hours only on a large, hearty bell. This original Waterbury clock is the "Calendar #44" model and is a meduim walnut with applied carving and incised lines with a spectacular Eastlake design in outstanding condition. The lower calendar dial is original and in excellent condition. The old upper dial appears to have been replaced many years ago and is in excellent condition. The day and date papers have darkened, but the three Waterbury labels on the back are in exceptional condition. It retains the original reverse painted glass in the E. Howard style. "Calendar #44" came in two designs - a wood mask around the dials with clear glass door or a reverse painted glass door. The latter being the rarer of the two. The brass dial sash for both dials are in splendid condition. It is an 8-Day wind and strikes the hours and half-hour on a deep cathedral gong. It has a working alarm. Circa: 1891. This clock has a distinct simplicity, yet it captures that victorian Eastlake elegance so popular for the times - a rare accomplishment for a "calendar". There is only slight wear to the enamel. The brass bezels have been polished and are in excellent condition. The original white painted dial has been restored using conservation methods and is in splendid condition. The inside label has faded and is illegible. The pendulum has been polished and is in excellent condition. The movement has been overhauled and is in fine running order. It is an 8-Day wind and strikes the hours only on a robust gong. Circa: 1855. This original, very large Seth Thomas clock is the Sonora "Chime No. 64" model and is a rich, red mahogany with burl walnut marquetry inlay, gothic/ beehive top and a beautiful soft alligatored patina in outstanding condition. The silverplated dial with etched numbers is only slightly worn and is in excellent condition. The dial is signed by the distributor, John J. Kingsley of Boston. The brass bezel with beveled convex glass is in splendid condition. It retains its original spade blue-steeled hands. The movement has been fully serviced and is in fine working order. It is an 8-Day wind and plays the westminster melody on the quarter hours on four resonant rods and strikes the hours on all four rods in the sonora chime fashion. Circa: 1915.
